English Teacher
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and motivational English subject specialist to join an established team led by experienced senior staff and fully supported by the Marland organisation. This is a great opportunity to develop the delivery of English and Literacy to small groups of students in our high quality, well resourced special school.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to liaise with existing English subject specialist colleagues at our other sites to deliver appropriate externally accredited courses. A good understanding of, and interest in, supporting the SEMH needs of our students are important attributes for all staff. You will have good communication and relationship building skills, including a focus on helping children to develop socially and emotionally. Applications are welcome from suitably qualified / experienced SEN and MAINSTREAM (Primary or Secondary) practitioners.
Training and ongoing professional development opportunities are offered to all staff, as are potential promotion opportunities due to the ongoing expansion of our popular schools.
Please contact Matt Tithecott (Headteacher) for more information and informal discussion on 01805 601324.
Please return your completed application by email to recruitment@marland.devon.sch.uk or by post to Andrea Dart at Marland Residential School, Peters Marland, Torrington, Devon EX38 8QQ.
Marland School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this post.
