Part-time Primary Teacher (0.4)

General Teacher (Primary) at Marland Primary School – Part-Time – Two days per week (Thursday and Friday) Starting January 2026

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and motivational teacher trained in primary education to join our established team, which is led by experienced senior staff.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing our KS1 and KS2  programs, specifically designed for students diagnosed with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and associated neurodiversities. We utilise a relational-based, personalised approach to support our students effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

•           Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching aligned with the Marland curriculum.

•           Foster a supportive and structured learning environment that meets the social, emotional, educational                      needs of pupils.

•           Adapt teaching approaches to engage pupils with complex SEMH needs effectively.

•           Participate in online teaching sessions as required.

•           Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience.

•           Contribute to the ongoing development and evolution of the school’s curriculum and teaching practises.

•           Maintain clear communication with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and well-being.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

•           Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in delivering primary education.

•           Ability to implement a primary-led teaching model within a special school setting.

•           Experience or strong interest in working with pupils with SEMH and/or complex additional needs.

•           Comfortable and proficient with online teaching platforms and digital tools.

•           Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and                         parents.

•           Enthusiasm for contributing to a collaborative and evolving curriculum.

Salary:

•           MPS / UPS + SEN 1 or 2 allowance depending on experience.
