As part of last terms work each class conducted a beach clean down on Saunton Sands. The focus was on looking after our beach environment while also having fun.
Each student was set a challenge to find the strangest piece of litter they could. This resulted in some remarkable finds including a shampoo bottle from China, a drinks label from Asia, a wellington boot and a bicycle wheel. It really got the boys thinking about what happens to our litter when we drop it.
As part of the clean we were given special permission from the beach owners to drive our land rover on the sand. This was a great opportunity as the only vehicles allowed on the beach are the army, who we saw training on a number of occasions.
