Marland School operates on two sites which are approximately 16 miles apart:
Residential School site:
Located in Peters Marland just outside Great Torrington in North Devon. This provides termly (38 weeks) residential education and care for up to 40 boys aged 10 (Y6) -16 (Y11) from across the whole of Devon. In addition to our highly personalised academic and vocational day curriculum, due to our residential nature, the school also offers a broad range of fun, extra curricula leisure and sporting activities focused on building the social, emotional and behavioral skills required to succeed in life.
Day School site:
Located in Roundswell, Barnstaple in North Devon. This provides education for up to 36 students aged 8 (Y4) – 16 (Y11) from the wider North Devon community. We provide a personalised academic and vocational curriculum which mirrors that of our Residential School site. All students also have the opportunity to develop their social, emotional and behavioural skills through an extensive Off Site Learning programme.
Our aim at both school sites is to provide high quality personalised support, care and education to each and every one of our students, helping all to develop into happy, independent, well-educated and socially confident young adults with a positive place in society. In order to achieve this, we expect all to enjoy their time at Marland, to try their best, work hard, make good progress and reach their full holistic potential.
